How to delete your account
Open Finbook on the web or in the app, go to Settings, choose Delete account, and follow the prompts. For your security you need to have signed in within the last few minutes, so sign in again first if you are asked to. Deleting is immediate and cannot be undone.
What is deleted
Your account, your name and email, your record of accepting our terms, and your private space with everything in it. You are signed out on every device.
What stays, and why
Entries you added to a group you shared with other people stay in that group, so their totals and balances remain correct. They are shown as coming from "Former member", and nothing links them back to you. If you were the only owner of a group, ownership passes to the longest-standing member; if nobody else is in the group, the group is deleted too.
Download your data first
You can download a copy of your data from Settings before deleting your account.
